Before the National Retail Federation (NRF) Retail Advocates conference began on July 28 in Washington DC, I had a chance to visit with the amazing Julia Westfall, the owner of Hera Hub DC, the newest addition to the Hera Hub family of co-working spaces and the first one established on the East Coast!
Upon arrival, I quickly made myself at home, spread out my portable office, grabbed a cup of coffee and began to do some work. I had to brush up on the latest legislative bills currently in Congress that affect small business retailers and about which I would be speaking with members of Congress later in the week.
As luck would have it, Hillary Berman, the local small business marketing expert of Popcorn & Ice Cream, was conducting guru hours and I was able to take advantage of this opportunity to get her feedback and advice. I really enjoyed our discussion and appreciate her focus on “customer love”!
If you get a chance to visit beautiful Washington DC, I highly recommend you stop by Hera Hub DC in the Friendship Heights section of DC. For me, it’s so reassuring to know there is another convenient location to network with like minded business women and to find a comfortable “office away from home”.
