I recently had the opportunity to attend the Discover Global Trade Pacific Rim Conference in Costa Mesa, California. Over 300 hundred business owners from all over the US were given the chance to meet with trade specialists from the US Commerce Department stationed in Pacific Rim nations, including China, Japan, South Korea, Vietnam, Panama, Colombia, Chile, Costa Rica, Borneo, Indonesia. In addition, attendees were able to meet buyers from these Pacific Rim nations.
I really had no idea that there was such an effort by the US Department of Commerce to facilitate the export of US brands, especially US made products. The resources that the US International Trade Services, an arm of the Department of Commerce, provide to businesses interested in exporting is truly exceptional.
We at Vivacity are exploring opportunities for export into Asia and Latin America, thanks to queries we have received from people in those areas. After a few phone calls and email exchanges with our the local San Diego office of the US International Trade Department, we are on our way to establishing new relationships and markets outside of the US.
We are so excited!! We’ll keep you in the loop as these projects develop. Where will Vivacity pop up next? Maybe at your nearest boutique in Panama City or Seoul? Stay tuned…
